Yerba Buena Gardens, South-of-Market

Yerba Buena Gardens was built atop the Moscone Convention Center, bordered by Third, Folsom, Fourth and Howard Streets. A surprising delight of greenscape, awesome architecture, museums and theaters. Enjoy the lawns, monumental sculptures and water features, butterfly garden and outdoor cafes.
If venturing into the city from the east, consider taking the 45-minute Ferry from Vallejo to Pier 1. It’s absolutely delightful, unique and can be more economical than driving in to San Francisco and parking. Yerba Buena Gardens is a short walk from Pier 1.
Enjoy the:
• Rooftop, an outdoor amphitheater, lawn bowl, robot sculptures and rubberized playground.
• Yerba Buena Bowling Center, twelve lanes of high-tech bowling. Don’t forget to grab a burger and shake upstairs at Mo’s, which has amazing views of the gardens and surrounding city.
• Yerba Buena Ice Skating Center, a 100-foot long NHL-regulation size rink.
• Zeum, Leonardo da Vinci meets R2-D2 at this performing and media arts center. Docents get kids involved in multimedia production, animation, web-page design and all kinds of tech-based art and activities.
